About Ledger

Built by candidates,
for candidates.

The CPA exam doesn't have a study problem. It has a consistency problem. Ledger exists to fix that — one logged session at a time.

The Story

Why Ledger exists

The CPA exam is one of the hardest professional credentialing exams in the world. A 50% first-attempt pass rate means half of every candidate who sits walks out defeated — not because they weren't smart enough, but because they ran out of time, lost momentum, or studied in isolation without any sense of whether they were actually on track.

Most study tools treat the CPA as a content problem. More videos. More MCQs. More material. They compete on library size while ignoring the real reason people fail: candidates don't know how many hours they've put in, which sections are lagging, or whether they're on pace to pass before their exam window closes.

Ledger treats it like a discipline problem. We give you one place to log every session, see your real progress, set goals by section, and stay accountable alongside a study group that knows where you stand. The candidates who pass aren't necessarily the smartest — they're the most consistent. Ledger gives you the infrastructure to be that person.

We're not affiliated with Becker, Roger, or any official exam provider. We don't sell study material. We do one thing: keep you honest about your hours and on track to finish.

Our Mission

"To give every CPA candidate the structure, accountability, and community they need to pass all four sections — not someday, but on schedule."

What we believe

01
Consistency beats intensity
Three hours every day beats a twelve-hour cram session the week before. Ledger is built around daily habits, not panic sprints.
02
Accountability is a feature
Knowing your study group can see your sessions is a surprisingly powerful motivator. That's not a side effect — it's the point.
03
Data over feelings
"I think I'm ready" is not a study strategy. Hours logged, readiness scores, and section progress give you something concrete to act on.
04
The exam window is real
You have 30 months to pass all four sections once you start. Ledger helps you treat that deadline seriously before it sneaks up on you.
05
Community, not competition
We don't rank candidates against each other. Study groups exist to pull people forward, not make anyone feel behind. Rising tide.
06
Simple by design
Log your session, see your progress, stay on track. We resist every temptation to add complexity that doesn't serve those three things.
